Modelling furniture with 3dsmax – Bocca Sofa, Gufram

Here’s a tutorial that show you, how to model in few steps, organic and complicated shapes with 3dsmax.

STEP1:

Creating Spline

STEP2:

Edit Poly – Create polygons with cut

STEP3:

Extrude the faces 3-4 times

STEP4:

Symmetry

STEP5:

Start modelling the shape with SCALE

STEP6:

Fix and change the position of some edge

STEP7:

Make the model more precise with the picture behind

STEP8:


Bevel the last face of the sofa, to define better the edge of it – (this part is a little bit more difficult)

STEP9:

Adjust the new faces

STEP10:


Bevel and adjust again, trying to do the new faces more rounded

STEP11:

Some fixing

STEP12:

Bevel again

STEP13:

Last face added on the side and some fixing

STEP14:

TURBO SMOOTH…and…

STEP15:

Sofa finished!…ready to render it!…
